Rupture
Rupture was the second salon thrown at Antioch College
Held in the Experimental Theater March 17, 2017
“We are inspired and moved to create a time and space that intends to “nurture the thinking of the community, including as many voices as possible, to evoke the visions and dreams of community participants, and to collaboratively problem solve and create,” (Watkins & Shulman 2008).
We invite you in the days leading up to the event to consider this definition of rupture- "one may be thrust into a radical space of pilgrimage, a searching for meaning, an orientation from a location 'betwixt and between' seemingly stable states," (Watkins & Shulman 2008).
Finally, the dinner was inspired by a dream to share in the world's largest bowl of spaghetti.
My friend and co-conspirator Taylor Spratt and I spent three days making pasta for our guests.
Attendees were encouraged to bring a potluck contribution in the spirit of reciprocity.
We celebrated four birthdays. Kevin Mulhall serenaded us. We received invaluable assistance from Adam Abraham and Liam Marin.
